Heartwell Pony-Colt baseball league has a proud history of producing top talent in the Long Beach, CA area, including many current Major League Baseball (MLB) players. One of the most notable alumni of the league is Justin Turner, former Los Angeles Dodgers. Turner played in the league as a youth and has credited his time in Heartwell Pony-Colt for helping to shape his career in baseball.

In addition to Turner, Travis d’Arnaud of the Atlanta Braves and JP Crawford of the Seattle Mariners. Travis played in the league as a youth and went on to be drafted in the first round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Philadelphia Phillies, while Arenado played in the league and was the 16th pick overall in the 2013 MLB draft.

Heartwell Pony-Colt has a reputation for producing top talent and providing a platform for young players to develop their skills and reach their full potential. Many other players who got their start in the league are currently playing at the college and professional levels, showcasing the strength and quality of the league.
